SERVICES2018-06-21T19:42:07+00:00

The Mission’s desire is to help those in need. Our services are based on the needs of our community, one person at a time. The services that are currently in place are as follows:

FOOD PANTRY

The Food Pantry is open daily for anyone needing food. Although the pantry is not advertised, we gave hundreds of bags of groceries away last year. Food donations are received Monday-Friday. Please call Richard Myers at 240-718-8911 to schedule a delivery or donation

CLOTHING OUTREACH

Our doors are open to provide clothes to all that desire them. All clothes are free and are given in love. It’s not a stretch to realize that many in our community can’t afford new clothing.

HAIRCUTS FOR THE HOMELESS

Everyone no matter what there circumstance should have the ability to have a clean haircut.
The Mission would like to thank Meredith for volunteering her time the last Wednesday of each month to cut the hair of the homeless. If you are a professional in this industry and would like to help Meredith she can be reached @ 240-718-8911. The Haircuts are given first come first serve.

SHOWERS FOR THE HOMELESS

The Mission shower facilities are available to all persons who request a shower during normal business hours.
Toiletries, sandals, and towels are supplied; a new pair of socks are available upon request.

EMERGENCY SHELTER

The Mission opens as an Emergency Shelter to all persons who do not have the ability to take cover in dangerous
storm conditions such as a large snow storm or weather conditions that would place homeless people in life or death situations.

COMMUNITY FARM

The Mission Community Farm exists to: Provide Healthy Food To Our Neighbors In Need, Educate and Motivate Individuals To Make Healthy and Informed Decisions About Food and to Partner with Local Hunger Relief Organizations.

JOB PLACEMENT

We take great pride in striving to seek and support those looking for a job. The instruction that we provide all individuals relate to resume building along with the dos and don’ts of a job interview.

COMPUTER TRAINING

In todays business environment, it’s vital that computer training is part of one’s personal skillset.
It is the Mission’s goal to support those that need this vital training. A self-paced training program has been established to meet today’s basic computer requirements. All class scheduling can be directed to Richard Myers at 240-718-8911.
